A birthday card

When I saw the "Stromsvigt" stampset "Special Delivery" I liked it immediately, but as I have no shop to use it for (¿yet?), I knew I had to find another use for it....
And VOILÀ here is my
"stacked filefolder birthdaycard"
with "love | hugs | kisses" for FREE!

So the invoice chart & "order no." is from the "Special Delivery" set, the words (HEY, YOU, the good stuff, kisses, hugs, love) are from "The Good Stuff" set, the stars, the file tab & the "cross" (made from the thin chevron,) are from the "Classic you" set.
Finally the "Happy Birthday!", the little order numbers and the words on the paper strips were stamped by using the huge alpha roller stamp from pebbles inc!
Papers & confetti are from various older Studio Calico kits (;

Have a wonderful day!

2 more digi-layouts

I loved working with the digital scrapbooking kit "Wanderlust" that my friend Heike created.
Here are the other two layouts:

The colors of the kit coordinated perfectly with my summer vacation pictures from the french westcoast.

Big LOVE (;

Have a wonderful day!

Revealing secret no.2

I've been urging to tell you about the second secret! (;
I've known Nina Christensen & her lovely stamps for quite some time.
When she asked me to join her design team I WAS SPEECHLESS!!!
(Thanks again Nina for having me!!!!)
So VOILÀ:
I'm
EXCITING, right!?
(Read her introduction of me on her blog right here.)
So when I received the stamps a few weeks ago, i knew I wanted to
USE THEM ALL
on my reveal-project.
So i tried my very best to include at least every stamp set.
And here is the page:
So i used the following sets: "The good stuff", "Classic you",
(Papers are from an older Studio Calico kit)
I really LOVE how this page turned out using only one picture,
some patterned papers and embellishments made by using
Nina's lovely stampsets (;
And here are some detail shots.
Can't wait to play some more! (;
THANKS AGAIN NINA! (;
I'm so excited what's to come (;

Have a wonderful day!

Revealing secret no. 1

Some time ago my sweet friend Heike Abedi alias "me and my button" asked me if I'd like to play with a digital scrapbooking kit she was creating. Of course I wanted and so I can tell you today, that I'm one of the creative team members (;

Her first wonderful digital scrapbooking kit's name is "Wanderlust" and you can find it here in her dawanda-shop as well as some other products like washi tape, lovely flair buttons & stamps.

I created three layouts with the kit up to date and today I'll show you the first one.
As I'm really in love with "Project Life" I had to make a PL-style page.

And I really LOVE how the kit coordinates with the pictures I took at the french West coast (;

Here are some detail shots (;

All papers and embellishments are from the "Wanderlust" kit,
Shadows photoshop style by "One little bird",
Fonts: Handwriting Dakota, American Typewriter & Neogrey

I'm excited to print some of the papers to use them for hybrid Scrapbooking & I know Heike is working on matching real flair buttons & journaling cards (;

Stay tuned for the other two layouts AND I'll reveal the second design-team-secret tomorrow morning! (((;

Have a wonderful day!

"Plaza Culinaria" food fair visit

Visiting the food fair in Freiburg named "Plaza Culinaria" is a good thing to do, when it's raining cats & dogs and it's really cold.
I went there today with my mum, sister & her boyfriend.
You get to try EVERYTHING.
That place is stuffed! With people AND foods you can or can't imagine!!!

Loved that there was a whole area dedicated to vegetarian/vegan food to try. I am not either of both but we rarely eat meat anyway, so it was just interesting to see & taste stuff. Bought a food fair offer from the local tofu manufacturer "Taifun" with some new to me products I'm excited to try.

Loved that my city Emmendingen had part of one of the Halls to show what is offered. The Café where I'm working part-time right now was there, too, but I'm glad I didn't have to work... (;

After 4 hours I left really tired from all those smells, tastes & all those people! (((; Glad to relax on the sofa with a cup of tea for the rest of the sunday!

Leave you with some impressions - no food pics though, as the booths were way too crowded to take good pics (;

pictures edited with pictapgo & rhonnadesigns Apps (;

About broken promises & exciting secrets

Back in January I promised to bring my blog back to life...
Then life actually happened, which brought me more time, but not more motivation to blog...
but i fell head over heels in love with instagram. That's also another reason why I neglected my
poor blog AGAIN,...
And I can tell you that I've been creating A LOT,... (;

If you want to see something simply go to my Instagram gallery and have a look (;

But I can't do a post here without any pictures right!? (;
So here you go:

Back in January I also started documenting our daily life via "Project Life".
And I have to say: I LOVE THIS PROJECT!!!
For those of you who don't know project life: Project Life is a memory-keeping system
created by Becky Higgins. I use photos, text and paper that I put into
pocket page protectors to document our life.
There are tons of cards to buy out there, but I LOVE to create my own! (Gotta use them, too!)
Recently Studio Calico released letterpress plates to use with an L Letterpress kit and here
are some pictures to show you, how letterpressed cards look like

I really love the mixture between blind & colored letterpressing. (;

These cards are far from perfect, but I love how they turned out!
And here are some more:

I had so much fun!

That's it for now.

Oh, no,... wait a second,....

I mentioned SECRETS.

Can't tell you 100% yet, but I CAN tell you, that I've been asked to join not only one,
but TWO design teams and I can't wait to tell you about those two lovely companies!
And to show you what I created for them!...

See you soon,
Kat (;
